* What is a Verbal Noun?
A verbal noun is the basic noun form of a verb — similar to “-ing” in English (e.g. running, eating, singing), but it often works more like a noun than a verb.
Irish uses the verbal noun to form progressive tenses (like “I am doing”) and also to treat actions like things (e.g. “the act of giving”).
